Went and paid for a dump truck load of concrete sand today. It will be delivered Monday. That stuff has gotten very expensive. When we get it spread, it should be a little over 6 inches. I'm thinking about a dump truck load, or two of clean fill dirt on top of the sand. That should elevate, and provide good drainage too, so my coop will be high, and dry.

I almost sold this EE of mine. She has taken her sweet time to lay. Glad I didn't! She is an OE! I love Olive colored eggs. This one is dark, but love there are no speckles. Hoping it stays that way, and, if it turns a bit lighter in time, I won't mind a bit. Nice size too for a first egg. Whoot.
