A BYC member in Auburn California lot most of the flock Last Fall. They did catch a bobcat but I do not see how a Bobcat could have done the type of damage and death over so many weeks. I think it was one of these long tale weasels that are listed as being up there. The problem will likely happen again next Fall.

Just layin low these days fighting vertigo.... hiding from the world.

You have it too? I've finally gone to a cane. I know I talked about it on here a while back. It's still with me. I have a really bad feeling it isn't going to go away. Been three months, or longer now. Some days are worse than others. Has to be an inner ear thing. Nothing they can do.
Take care.

There is a news story about Fisher weasels moving down into Iowa. A game cam picture made officials admit that there was at least one of them there.

We have them here, nasty pieces of work.

Only because you sent me your snow.

Thank you for taking it. The 10-14 inches we were supposed to get last night into this morning became 3 inches of snow-crete. Thankfully. It was slick but I'm not buried alive.

I had bobcat come through and take thirty chickens..... There was no evidence except a few feathers and the fact that they were gone... Happened after the last fire storm went through San Diego...

interesting article

Caught a bobcat in a Have A Heart trap a few years back. I was shocked. Apparently we have them here, too.

Looks like we're going to be above freezing this weekend

I read an article from one of the Web style MD places that said sometimes benedryl helps... I tried it and it has reduced the vertigo by about half. Only problem is I am sleeping too much. but I figure if its swelling in the inner ear due to a viral infection some relief should be good. and if it doesnt work no harm done.
