I sent in for the Ancestry.com genetic test and found out that I am not German pretty much at all! I am 43% Great Briton and 32% Irish. A large part of Great Briton is also Irish so I am likely more than 32% Irish.

Something Hinky went on with the German side of my Family....

Or ancestry got it wrong. Which is known to happen. But welcome to the clan!

I am going to send a sample off to 23&me to see what they come up with. They give you neanderthal DNA results too.

Now what is this 23 and me? not heard of that one before half sister did the Elftman clan
several years ago she found all of them My one uncle had received a letter from Germany before the wall came down back about the time of hitler it was from cousins there asking for help they said there was money but no food to buy they where asking for the children many small boxes where sent... 50 years later i had been sent to bring back new shepard blood for a client arranged to take a side trip to where the address was and met the Children's children those stories of long ago had been handed down over how the American cousins kept them alive during that horrible time.

stories like that is what drew mom into doing our geneology.....
