The Old Folks Home

There's things about this new format I like, some I don't. Mostly on my phone, on my phone, no mobile/desktop option. OK cause it's about halfway in between, sorta like being on the laptop but works flawlessly on phone now where before in desktop mode had to zoom/move around, a big screen with a little one, and worked super slow. Now it's fast and smooth. Was so much easier to navigate in mobile on the old format though. And had three times more posts to view, with no ads... Guess I'm still not sure if I like this.

Animal Selling Translation Guide

“I’m interested”…..Actually means: I wish I could buy it. But I won’t.

“Do you have more pictures”…..Actually means: I’d like to waste your time with more

photos, and info before I Never buy anything.

“I want it, can you hold it for me?”….Actually means: Can you hold it 2 weeks to a

month, and then I won’t show up to buy anyway.

“How many do you have?”…..Actually means: Get a count of all you have, But I’m only

looking for 1.

“Where are you located?”…..Actually means: You don’t live within 10 miles of my

house, so I’m not buying.

“I need to ask my spouse.”…..Actually means: I’ve never discussed it with my spouse,

so I’m going to waste your time before I try to get

approval. (Which Never happens)

“Is it good with kids?”…..Actually means: My kids are brats that I can’t control, but I’m

going to turn them loose on this little animal.

“Is it current on shots?”...Actually means: I don’t use a vet. If I have a problem, I ask a

question on FB, and beg others to support my gofundme

account, because I can’t afford a vet bill.

“Would you meet?”….Actually means: Meet me at the gas station by my house, so I

don’t have to drive more than a couple miles.

“Is delivery included?”….Actually means: I want you to spend $40.00 in gas to deliver

a $20.00 animal to me.

Witnessed some of these personally and been guilty of a couple :lau:oops:

Saw this on Craigslist. Wonder if the dude always thought his van was a dodge. Wonder how hard it was to replace parts If he did, don't fit!! Lol!

I'm going to have to look that up...
Edit, yum, looks good!
I like my fries naked, but do love cheese fries. I do not understand or like the gravy fries that are so popular here. Do not like them Sam I am.

In and Out is a mostly California Chain

Animal fries are french fries covered with the burger cheese thrown under a heater till it melts then topped off with the sandwich spread and onions fried in the burger grease.... :drool

You can also get your burger animal style.... No lettuce No Tomato just cheese and sauce and grilled onions.

And if you are carb conscious you can have it protien style.... But its a mess to eat....:lau

Oh, come on guys, don't tell me nobody missed me? :hit

I think it's been something like 5 days since I logged on. In that time, we have split a cord of firewood, gathered mulitple loads of rounds in our tractor's bucket and hauled them back to the barn where they are waiting to be split, Burned 6+ slash piles from harvesting said firewood, spent countless hours hoing the garden, disuading deer that have been nibbling on everything from green bean tops and one Jalopeno pepper plant. Yesterday my Welsummer hen, Dolly, who hatched chicks in March decided that she had to have more babies to drool over so she went broody and is happily sitting on 7 bantam eggs. The little chicke that was abandoned by her momma has happily bonded with the two OEGB(I think) chicks that I got at Orschelns to keep her company and is thriving as are Faith and Hope. Then this morning I discovered that my last surviving Welsummer rooster had developed an infection overnight. His right eye was swollen shut and he was running a fever. No perulent drainage of any kind but I heard some rough respirations. I pulled him from the flock, started him on Terramycin along with the rest of the birds just to cover them. He looked pretty bad until later this afternoon when he started taking notice of things around him and gobbled down half a scrambled egg that I hand fed him. He is spending the night on our back deck in a cage. Afraid to put him back with the flock since I really don't know what he has or where he picked it up and really not certain if he is going to survive this.

Dang Marek's disease. Have I mentioned that I really HATE this disease?

So deciding that I didn't have enough hours in the day I shoved the internet aside for a week...okay, I caved. I was planning to to log on this weekend and catch up but got to wondering what everyone was up to.

So...what's everyone up to?
