Hi there. Last time I was on was October 2014 so close to three years. After loosing my mom to cancer I kind of lost my way. I'm back and in full force. Graduated nursing school and even started with chickens again. Received 52 from a cackle surprise box! I'm just glad to be feeling myself again

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. It hurts, I know. But glad you are on the right track! Congratulations on completing your nurses training. Several of us around here I think. I just retired in 15 after 40 years of nursing.

I was on a lot when we were in TN about three plus years ago. Then my Dad and Aunt died. So we went back to FL for a bit.
Now we are in VA, and loving it. I was a nurse too. I have young guineas, and have chicks ordered for the 14th. Building a coop!

I've got chickens and guineas. Oh and 4 ducks I guess...lol.
The ducks weren't planned.

They are doing great! Happy in their new tractor! I am glad they are out of that brooder, i think a coon was visiting it. I need to put more latches on it and beef it up before my chicks get here.

Hi y'all not sure how many older members are still left on here seeing as its been 2 years since I've been on. Just wanted to say hi to all

I started here in 2014 researching chickens, happened along a discussion on a different thread between a guy from Finland and another from Alabama arguing on the best way to grill a steak, lol, so I joined. Both of them yapped on here (old folks home) also so I eventually made my way here to the retirement home lol. Good to see you back though I don't remember you. Lots of stuff here on BYC, good place to be. Stick around awhile and enjoy the fun, info, etc.

Just harvested and tore apart the tops of my Egyptian walking onions for seeding tomorrow. Hope I'm over run in them next yr.
