The Old Folks Home

LS my dh is hard on jeans they don't last a year with out holes either. But the Wrangler jeans last longer for him. Between the mill's repairs and the farm we usually buy 5 pair every couple of years. That way they get rotated and last longer. Tee shirts I buy online from Haynes or Walmart 3.00-10.00 and the 10.00 is a pack of 3 from Walmart.
This time of year though Walmart throw's all their summer clothes on sale for 1-3 dollars and we stock up for next year. Saves a bunch of money. But you have to go in to find the sales.

California is a State with many Environments. This Week I was at 7000ft. below an active volcano; Mt. Lassen

The Peak is a bit over 10,000 feet. My Grandfather was up here in 1915 a week before the last eruption. Good thing he did not stay up there!

Yesterday we went to the Farallons Islands. We were at the last two in the chain

We saw a lot of birds!
This is a Rookery where Brand's cormorants hatched. The white spots are hatched egg shells and manure

The Golden gate bridge of course. We went under it and then 31 miles out into the Pacific Ocean. Many were sick.

A Ship was being renovated. I think it is going to be an attraction

Also a nice cityscape

Great photo's there Ron see you had the smoke haze or yes?
sun has not come out yet today but cooler feels good
The Ocean trip pictures were fog on the ocean. Lassen was very clear but the valley is full of smoke. There is a big fire somewhere in the Sierra foothills...The Wall fire in Butte County. Butte County is a bit North of us.

Is that Kings house? Looks like something he'd live in, spooky, probably has ghosts. I always thought he lived out in the woods away from everybody.
