The Old Folks Home

He is not yipping, and he can walk. But the tires definitely went over him. I thought it was just the gravel hump where they are putting in the electric and water. The blood is not coming out of his mouth any more. He went down to the shed and is curled up in the shade. I took him water with and without electrolytes. I considered giving him aspirin but to force it down his throat if he has injuries there would probably be worse. I just feel so guilty.
My husband just came in and I asked him about what the vet said/did. He thinks the vet gave him a shot in case of internal bleeding. He was on the road and the fellow was driving slow. The dog got badly tumbling and had some blood in his mouth. I don't think it was costly. It might be worth calling about?

Every time i call this vet about any procedure it is twice what they charged us in Florida. I don't think poor Charlie had much time left. He was having issues and i think his time is limited. He has cataracts so in the bright light he may not have seen the Mule but you would think he could hear it. The bleeding stopped and he walked over to rest in the shade. We will wait and see how he is before putting him down. You can rack up a huge vet bill in no time and then they can die anyways. Let him have peace and quiet rather than being poked and prodded at the vet. He has had a good life. If it is his time, then i will bear the heartache. If he survives, then we gave him a chance to do so.

Oh, the largest headstone has some variation of a Claddagh on it. It has the hands holding each other and a crown, we couldn't find a heart on it, but we were scraping rotting leaves off of it with our hands to see that much. One of the babies had 2 sheep laying down on his stone (I think that one was a boy, I can't remember the name)

Lambs are a frequent symbol on children's headstones; in fact, I'm not sure I have ever seen a lamb on a stone that wasn't marking the grave of a child.

Cap, I'm sorry about your dog; I know you feel rotten about it all ways 'round. :hugs

@Alaskan what kind of water pipes do you have?
Copper and pvc plastic the rest should be OK.

I think that the pipes are copper.... This house is a moron house. ..so, the pipe type is probably different types in different places. We had to replace the pipe from the well to the house many years ago...so that stretch is now PVC. The closet in the house with the water filters and pressure tank...from the pressure tank to the paper filter is PVC, from the paper filter to the big filter, that spaghetti of pipes is all copper (and is where the leak was), then the pipes enter the walls...and who knows what happens.

My house has three separate fuse boxes. Three. Total moron house.

Impressive on your squishy bathroom.

By the way, after the giant stove refit...how is your back?

Back in the early 80's, my Mom called me up and said I needed to get right over and help Bury her Little Dog--Dad had run him over and he was dead!(Dad had Multiple Sclerosis and should not have been driving and was not capable of doing work like that).

When I got there, The Dog was on the porch wagging it's tail! I got my Mom and and said "what dog is dead?" She was shocked to see that it was alive and swore it was dead when she last saw him.

The Dog lived another 7 years or so....
