The Old Folks Home

The Arby's potatoes and absolutely soaked in oil. I take a stack of napkins , as one is soaked, I switch to others, until I've gotten most of the fat out. My brother doesn't care (though he should). You can visually see how much oil there is.

The only thing I used to like about Burger King, was you could ask for & get UNsalted fries.

Now I am so hungry...................Penny just a little chocolate would help

Food ALWAYS looks better in the advertisement than in real life. Years ago, I took my daughters to Denny's to eat something they had seen advertised on TV, and they wanted to try. When the food came, my 10 year old got this funny look on her face, and told the waitress "it sure looked a lot better on TV".

Ahhhhh flu shot season.

Brings back memories of clocking in for my regular second shift this time of the year and finding a box of syringes sitting on the desk waiting for us. No body had to tell us what it meant. We knew. We moaned, we pounded our heads against the desk and proceeded to draw up about 75 syringes of flu vaccine and with consent list in hand went off to jab needles into unsuspecting residents. The last two syringes went to us nurses. Oh what fun.......I am so glad I'm retired.

So @superchemicalgirl. Pray tell what trauma caused you to be terrified of needles?

It took 6 nursing students to hold down a 9 year old patient once who was heck bound not to get a blood draw. I got to sit on his belly. Most fun I had as a nursing student, LOL.

years ago the tax season I worked with Ma before I left for Juneau We had a Taco Johns we would get tacos there, fries at mickey d's then Wendys for frosty's eat driving through the carwash
Sounds like you had that all figured out...lol! I've never been or seen a Mickey D's.

I haven't had a frosty from any of the fast food places with the exception of dairy queen. It doesn't agree with my stomach so I'm abstaining. laughing.gif

I don't if the Arby's chain is wide spread. But we often go there for lunch after a movie. They always have coupons ie, 2 beef sanwiches for $ 5.50. potatoes cakes or curly fries $ 1. and senior drinks 50 cents. Problem in our area if that there is a 1 cent per ounce tax on soft drinks, diet or reg., juice that isn't 100% juice. But the senior pop is only about 10 ounces for another 10 cents in tax is okay for me. Plus I can still refill it gratis.
I don't think I've ever been to an Arby's.

My most fun day as a nursing student was standing right next to the surgeon while he was doing an operation! It was great!
