The Old Folks Home

Wow...! That would drive me batty!

We had a Suburban that would autolock... THAT was a huge problem since often we go, start the car up, then go back to sit in the house for five minutes.... and we had only one key...

Anyway, we just ripped out a few wires, fixed it. :ya

Hahaha sounds like something we would do!
It did drive us crazy!

It feels like fall.

yep...!

Pretty exciting about the ducklings. Our two old drakes died last winter. When they died we still had some meat ducks...but the then 8 year old had been taken care of them...and had let their feet freeze... anyway. .. we kept the 2 meat drakes, but they both lost some of their feet. Because of that they did a HORRID job of fertilizing the girls. Poor female ducks kept sitting on bad eggs...all summer long!

Finally those limpy drakes managed... we hatched 6 ducklings, but lost one on Sunday, so now have 5.

4 are with one mom, and 1 is with a different one.

I went and bought 2 perfect little drakes, gorgeous boys...

Muscovy have such great personalities, especially my flock since I cull hard for personality. As a result integrating 2 young partly grown boys, and flock raising the ducklings has gone smoothly.
I would love love to be able to have ducks and geese. Only the nice well behaved ones. ;)

But the babies are so stinkin cute!
nope not even in my book sorry duck hater had canadian geese to run off I know better
Like I said.. Only well behaved. And, need a large area for them only to poo in.... a very large area! Had neighbors ducks wander over to our place years ago. Messed up our front sidewalk often. Now....I did not like those ducks, and it wasn't even their fault they could wander on over to poo. Big poo's, they make very big poo's.
