The Old Folks Home

You just buy it on sale the day after Halloween and get twice as much for your money!:drool
That's the best idea.
Here most of the candy/bars are gone before Halloween arrives. :barnie We got caught short one year when we used to get a couple of kids. Thankfully that happened to be the year they stopped coming. Whew!

Wicked thanks for the idea of covered cattle panels. Will talk to dh about it.

Cap for ibs my sister and I both had some problems with this. We both started cutting out as much soy in our diet as we could and went back to using real butter and coconut oil. Our problems cleared up

For drain flies they sell some type of live bacteria on Amazon the eats the stuff in the drains and the larve of the flies. It gets rid of them permanately.
Other wise they are never really gone.
Found my place! :wee

I can't see us getting into the new to us/old seed grainery...so I'll have to go with a plan B again with the roosters. I was thinking of using stand alone cattle panels or the cheaper 16' stock panels to cordon them to the back area of the shed. Having them all running loose in that shed is not working for me. So the idea is fresh in my head right now as I try to figure out my own dilemma. Hug a rooster!

I have been getting A2 milk for my daughter.
There was one study that showed A1 mild being associated with heart problems while A2 did not cause the problem.
Sadly the A2 milk is a bit pricey. It does seem to work as advertised though
I'm not familiar with this at all. Very interesting!
We've been tossing the idea of getting a milk cow for ourselves. Haven't quite decided on whether we want that kind of commitment right now.
I had to chase this around my bathroom last night! I looked at all kinds of pics and the closest one is a black terauntula. It's
2" long and 2" high. Scary!

I'm gonna have nightmares. I'd probably stop breathing if I saw something like that.

:wootI've caught up! :yesss:

Oh heck, tarantulas are just like hamsters with a few extra legs. No worries.
We don't have anything like that here. Thankfully. Give me a big snake...I'm fine. But don't give me one of those big, nasty, fast moving spiders.

Like Diva, we get no trick or treaters. Due to living in the country where the driveways are far between and there are no streetlamps anywhere in the Village, it's scary even without the decorations! The Community Center has a big party for local kids on Halloween night.

Mom eschewed Halloween with a passion. Would try to be away/out to dinner or would turn out all the lights and hide upstairs. Hate to admit it, but I'm not keen on Halloween myself. Oh, gawd... I'm turning into my mother!

Morning everyone. Went to sleep with rain on the roof, woke up to sunshine and cooler temps. And a lot less leaves on the trees thanks to the wind last night.

Wicked, thanks for the tips on the paint. Much appreciated. Yep, next spring I definitely need to paint the coop ceiling.

I think for Halloween this year I'm going to make up pumpkin cookies just in case any of the next door neighbor kids come by. They didn't last year but they were just moving in then so:confused:.

Two years ago DH found an old devil mask while we were moving and lurked out by the road waving at the Amish kids as they rode by on Halloween day. I told him it was all fun and game until he spooked a horse.I'm sure they think we have crossed over to the Dark Side at this point. That's OKAY, they have cookies there:drool
