i got a brand new library card, a bag of books for $2 and a bag of books to read!
Brought home a load of straw, unloaded it and gave some hay from the one bale of alfalfa i bought to the.bunnies.
Picked the peppers and tomatoes, covered the string beans. Mulched the blueberry plants and getting set to put the blackberries in the ground.
Moved the bushes up by the house, and picked seeds off some flowers.
Wish i had another week before frost but tonight is it unless mother nature changes her mind.

Yaknow... Every time I see a post from @Beer can , my eye is drawn to the movement of that (ugly ) chicken. The repeat action (& appearance) brings to mind zombies, then I go to thinking of a limping chicken... and think about Rooster Cogburn. No controlling my thoughts sometimes. Just thought I'd share.

Every time I see @Beer can's avatar I have a momentary flash of thinking "what is wrong with that poor rooster?" Then I remember....rooster is fine.

Spent the afternoon trying on every pair of boots I own and finally found a pair that fit without shooting me to the ceiling. If weather is permitting, looks like I'm going to be wearing my muck boots along with a pair of really warm socks.

@CapricornFarm, you have far way too much energy.

I've always said that being a moderator is a thankless job that you couldn't pay me enough money to take. A good one knows how to put out brush fires as soon as they break out. Unfortunately there are those who think having an on line persona is a blank check to act like the south end of a north bound mule and those are the ones that drive off good members if not for the swift actions of the mods.

So my thanks to all you moderators out there.

I just got back from town. Couldn't find any shoes I could wear so I wound up wearing my beat up garden clogs and using a cane. Took me twice as long as usual but man, have gray hair and use a cane.....Do you ever get the service! This getting old may have a few positive benefits, LOL!

I have like 5 pairs of what I may wear out and yes 57 all white hair with a cane and that is me and last 3 loaves of bread in the oven did dinner rolls BF our veteran here loves the dinner rolls then 6 loaves of Ronn's white bread then 3 loaves of sourdough set for tomorrow.... in the meantime thought I would pick everyone's brain I bought 3 birds at auction 2 weeks ago still uncertain of breed one is laying a very deep brown almost like a marans?
