The Old Folks Home

Sorry for skipping around here a bit. I woke up this morning sicker than a dog with some sort of stomach bug that DH has also. Have no idea where it came from but it can go away ASAP. Thank goodness I had an empty feed bag close by when I was mixing feed for the chickens is all I can say:sick

I slept most of the morning, just woke up, made myself a cup of turkey noodle soup from the left overs from yesterdays dinner and it's acting like it wants to stay put so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear you and yours are sick. Hope it isn't that nasty flu going around. Hope you both can just curl up and sleep it off :hugs

Thanks, Chicki. I laid around most of the afternoon and watched the old Star Wars movies. I'm feeling about 75% better now, good enough to eat a few graham cracker cookies with a glass of milk and not getting dizzy when I stand up. DH is feeling better also. We just don't know where we picked it up unless it came in on the mail. We haven't left the place since last Monday.

Sounds like norovirus. We used to call that the 24 hour bug

Meet my adopted rescue kitty Sammy. Tomorrow he goes to meet his vet and get his boosters. Hard to tell from the pics but he was so thin when we picked him up last Saturday that when he was walking away he looked 2 dimensional. Not much better yet, had some plumbing issues from gulping his food down (never seen a kitty swallow kibble whole before!) which caused him to start throwing up and gave himself a "loose caboose" but a one day fast and a switch to Blue Buffalo can food one tablespoon at a time to slow him down streightened things out. (The first two days he also drank A LOT of water) That is until he managed to steal a half loaf of WW bread off the counter when we went outside to clear snow. He then managed to drag it all the way down the hall and into the front bedroom ( now his room), tear several holes in the bag and eat what probably amounted to two slices of soft bread before he got caught :thGood thing the vet is in the morning. Should know by then if he plugged himself up

Please ignore Angel puppy's appearance. She gets her bath and trim tomorrow. It's been too cold this past week to get her wet.
