Long day here. DH is studying to take the Ham radio test on Sunday. He has a lot of Army experience repairing radios and has retained an amazing amount of what they taught him plus what he learned on his own. I'm trying to read through the beginners book while he studies the advanced, more to understand what he is talking about and get some basic understanding of radios. He's trying to talk me into working for a Technician's Ham license. I dunno. I'm starting to feel like Kelly Bundy on Married With Children. The episode where they kept cramming sports trivia into her and every new thing she learned, she forgot some old lesson. Pretty soon she couldn't remember how to open the front door.
My brains hurt.
Nothing like trying to cram a bunch of new material that you have never dealt with before into a 64.5 year old head. At least DH has been a good sport and stopped studying to explain something to me every time I say 'well this doesn't make any sense'. At least now I know why there aren't a lot of Ham radio operators around.
Here I thought learning nursing was a pain......
