Every try hot water on frozen doors?
Doesn't work too well on metal casings when the actual temp is below zero and the windchill is OUCH! Just getting the water there while it's still hot is a challenge. We're doing better this morning, the sun is shining. It's 10 am and a balmy -10 already!

ETA; I hadn't opened the greenhouse, coop, dutch door to the area between coop and greenhouse or the feedshed while they were wet, the freezing rain was driving so hard it just soaked everything which, when the temp dropped rapidly, sealed them like super glue. Even the carabiners on the latches were frozen shut.

I'm a bit clueless here. I know CB was big some years back. Is there much in the way of CB traffic anymore?

I looked at pictures of the 49er. Yep nothing stable about that boat, way over canvased and lacking in ballast. Definitely one for the young, strong and agile.
CB and Ham not quite the same thing. Used to operate both many many many years ago, breaker breaker.

Micro; this one's for you :D

We are supposed to know that @Wisher1000's joy and happiness means she retired yesterday?? If so, congrats! Now get used to the concept of no set schedule and no idea at all what day of the week it is. ;)

As long as you don't close them again when wet. And if talking cars, NEVER throw boiling water on the windows. Better to scrape, scrape, scrape that crack the window.

Yep, a Hobie catamaran can be sailed nearly flat if one wants to. No requirement to fly a hull and trapeze out to keep it from going over.
She retired last summer but has taken up more activities and is even more busy than before.

Actually, not the same thing at all ;) For one thing CB didn't require any education, knowledge of how radios work or testing. No license either and it is short distance. With a proper antennas and weather conditions, ham operators can communicate with other hams on the opposite side of the world.

Which YOU know :D

You are right on about the CBs, Bruce. Much easier to use and you don't have to know the difference between an Amperer, Watt and Volt plus a whole lot of math that my anti-math prone brain is trying to spit out at me like it was a mouthful of sour milk.

Why is retiring like 6 Saturdays followed by a Sunday? Because a lot of people work Mon-Fri and have the weekend off. When you retire, everyday is a weekend....except for Thursday which isn't Thursday any more but Garbageday. Oh wait! Then there is Friday which isn't Friday any longer but 'Ancient Alien-day' on TV.
