The Old Folks Home

But the colors go together so well! I don't care for the colors in a quilt my grandmother and GGmother made together because they are true scraps collected over time from clothes they wore. Many , many quilts are made of small scraps and look lovely.

Thank you. I'm proud of the quilting on it, but boy I do not like the scrappy look. It's my second scrappy quilt and I hated both of them equally.

It has faded a lot since 2001 when i made it. The dark strips joining the squares used to be black! That is my 6 week hysterectomy quilt.

Wait, there's an anniversary occasion for a quilt I had never heard of!

@superchemicalgirl, if for no other reason love that quilt for the exquisite quilting you did on it. Glad to hear that you and the pupzil are warming up to one another. They have a way of doing that.;)

I take a bath most nights... one of the cats always sits on the edge and watches. He comes screaming into the bathroom when he hears the drain close, before I can even turn on the water. Tonight the dog also joined us, and snored on the rug next to the tub.

I was not allowed to lift anything more than 5 pounds. So i decided to keep busy making that quilt and walking daily.
