The Old Folks Home

Fantastic Ron! Love to see women riding big bikes! So do you have one as well, or do you ride bit.... ummmm as a passenger? :duc:oops::lau:gig Sorry, couldn't resist. ;)

I do not ride. I was always more of a car Guy

Nice pics Ron. Thanks for sharing.

At the end of last Spring, when I posted that I enjoy living in Florida, especially not having to deal with really cold temps, and snow the whole lot of you chimed in with comments like "I couldn't handle warm temps in winter", "I love it when it snows", "The snow makes everything look so pretty." Well, you got your cold winter, and your snow so stop complaining. I'll take our weather any day, over all the cold you're having.

The princess tea party turned out great. I brought out the good china, my teapots, the teapot warmers, etc. We had scones, Devonshire cream, mini blueberry muffins, butternut squash soup, quiche, creamy shrimp stuffed chicken breasts, and mini red velvet cupcakes. I served mixed berry, and chocolate coconut teas. The girls put on their princess outfits, and tried so hard to be "grown up", and dainty. It was adorable. We had a great time, and the food was really good.

The guys got back a little before 10:00 pm. They had a wonderful time too. Apparently, they ate a ton of junk food, including cotton candy. My grandson got a few monster truck toy trucks for himself, and one for each of his sisters. Around 9:30 my grandson got tired, and wanted to come home, so they came home. They beat the mad rush of everyone trying to get out at once, at the end of the event.

I took some pictures for you!

Front of the house with the orange tree and a tomato plant that may still give us a tomato!

I can almost smell it, it looks so good.

Reminds me, One of our Amish neighbors stopped by and tied his horse outside our gate. Said horse left me a pile of horse apples that I need to shovel into a bucket and pour water over so I make fertilizer tea. My mother used to do it with a cow patty and her plants went nuts growing when she watered with her special poop tea.

I use the water from the ducks that they poop in to water my garden in the summer. It works great.

To each their own @getaclue :) We get too cold in the winter but have mostly comfortable spring through fall. You sometimes get too warm (86°F in Feb!) in the winter and, well I won't mention spring through fall ;)

It would be nice to be able to grow more garden and pasture through the year though.
