Last little bit I read It will be five days a week for eight weeks. Full Abdomen. I hope I can drive myself... Probably will have to be on probiotics ... been reading too much I need to just let it happen as it goes.

Is there community transportation in your area? That way it'll be safer for you, especially on bad days.

Happy Dance Celebration time here everyone!

@perchie.girl! Going to back track and catch up on how life has been treating you since you last checked in.

For now, I just got home from my testing to become a HAM technician class radio operator.
I ACED IT!

35 out of 35 questions correct! All the hard studying, frustration (mostly on my poor husband's part as I am not the easiest person to tutor! Thank you dear!)paid off. My brain is numb but very happy. Now I have to wait for my name to appear on the FCC's data base and get assigned my call number and I am good to go. The test manager leaned over when he got finished grading my test and said. 'You really need to study for your first upgrade. You did this way too easily to stay a tech class operator' So I will probably take a couple of weeks off and have at it again. Makes this old brain proud that it can still learn something new and retain the knowledge.

Guess you can teach an old dog new tricks after all....of course now I can't remember my address or phone number but danged, I know what frequencies on the 70cm bandwidth I can use now!

Thanks! I'm pretty happy. There is just so much techobabble that goes along with it that I didn't think I'd ever get it. I told my husband that when the light bulb finally went on over my head I felt like Helen Keller at the well when her teacher kept holding her hand under the pump nozzle and pumping water over it while signing W-A-T-E-R at the same time. Until that moment it was just a bunch of nonsense. Then suddenly it was, OH I know that! I know what they are talking about!

The area HAM club in Kirksville is very active in the community doing emergency service. We will probably be part of the system but I'm wondering at what point my nursing knowledge will want to kick in and override the Emergency Radio Services.

@perchie.girl. I am so happy to hear from you. I read your post and once again from a nursing POV the first thing that popped into my mind was "She is in such good spirits and has such a fighting attitude!She is going to do fine!" Please keep hanging on to that state of mind. Surely things will get tougher before they get better but thinking positive and keeping your faith will carry you through those bumps in the road.

We surely understand how you are comforable with one sentence responses. We don't mind. Just drop by and say. I'm doing fine. Or even, Not feeling well this week. more later." and we will be happy. It's about you right now. Just know we are all keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
