The Old Folks Home

I got worn out just thinking about it, BUT I remembered I brought home a slice of cheesecake, topped with vanilla bean whipped cream, and fresh strawberries from Red Lobster. I'm eating it now. Right now, I don't give a darn about tomorrow. Life is good!
Omg, i had a hot fudge sundae yesterday at DQ! Bliss!

Cap - well at least you didn't post a photo of the hot fudge sundae, when I am two days away from grocery shopping and not a drop of ice cream anywhere. My brother was NOT in a good mood to stop yesterday after he lost his cell phone at the movie theatre.

Was pouring rain yesterday and thunderstorms last night. Since ground is quite frozen- water is mounting up on low side of property and end of driveway.

People across the street have a perpetually "under water," driveway. It's such a short driveway, just enough for two vehicles to park side by side. I wonder why they don't have driveway re-done so the level would be raised ?
because its expensive.... you have to dig the old one out then lay new underlayment and top it with what ever surface is acceptible to the county permitt. We had ours done a very long time ago about 45 years ago it was asphalt and was decaying.... and yep two cars only side by side.... I think it cost us back then over a thousand dollars...

Probably quadruple that now....

SCG -- Ouch! Do you have a wrist brace?

Mom loved lamb and I think I got that from her, although I am really partial to seafood. New Mexico got the railroad because it was a lamb exporter, so lots of availability and lamb-based dishes out here (unlike Las Vegas, NV, where Costco is about the only place you can find lamb meat.) A lamb burrito done right is divine.

My pullets -- hatched in October -- are pinkening up, but we haven't seen a fresh egg in ages. Looking forward to seeing what the F2 Bluebars and the FBCM lay color-wise. My friend -- who graciously rehomed my former flock -- just told me she's gotten a dozen eggs so far. (Oh, neener.)

We had a light snow -- very light -- last night. If you look closely it resembles somebody throwing errant handfuls of white sand about.
It is great to hear that both the old flock and the new flock are doing well!
