The Old Folks Home

He's a DO/osteopath. The best one in northeastern Missouri. He doesn't do chiropractic but does manipulation and pressure points to get muscles to respond and relax. The good thing is that he can do all of it along with traditional medicine also so he can treat with steroid and zylocaine injections when he has to and deal with chronic conditions also. I didn't believe in it till I tried it and now I wouldn't go to any other doctor.

I hope he helps you!

It was a pleasant discovery. We were talking to two other doctors that we know here and when I mentioned I had a bad back but was seeing a doctor for it, they asked me who I was seeing. When I told them, they all said the same thing. Best hands in northeast Missouri.

Not all DO's are trained to do the in depth manipulation. I guess they have to take extra training over and above regular med school in order to be board certified.

If this doc goes to another practice, I'll follow him without hesitation.

micro, would it help to build up one shoe higher than the other to compensate for the pelvic height change?
Not sure. I know I have a scoliosis that causes my left let to be a tad shorter than my right normally but an inch is a bit much.

I'm hoping once he gets it settled down he will be able to adjust me back to what passes for normal for me. Usually one of the facet joints winds up hanging up on a nearby bone. Hurts like bloody you know what when it pops loose but then feels so good when it stops hurting.

Orthotics might help if the difference in length is bothering the joints

And then after decades of wearing a shoe with a lift, you can get the knee on the other side replaced! Of course my uncle had a good 2.5" lift from an early age. Some sort of congenital thing in his hip I think. He did make it to early 80's before needing the opposite side knee replaced.

There is definitely a cause and effect when one part is sore and another has to take on an extra load. We've been going to a lady that does Bowen (developed in Teila's home country). Seems to help a lot with muscle and other imbalances. TMI but I don't take a generic Imodium daily any more. Did that for several years.
