The Old Folks Home

Please do, we all NEED to know that things are moving along as opposed to ASSUMING they are :hugs
I will try... Expect it to all be good... Right now I am a basket case barely able to keep up on my appointments with my regular doctor and the oncologist for radiation, and Oncologist for my surgery, and the Sleep doctor.... Getting my final sleep test with the CPAP machine and its adjustments.

An UH OH call in for me to get a blood test today....

Grandmas Appointments... Moms Appointments.... Got to get all them done before I can get a schedual done for Radiation... ONce I get Radiation appointments set then Our life can go back to pretty much normal...

Believe me I wouldnt be talking so much about this and consuming bandwidth but for ever I have had a general fear of hospitals... Even when family members went in for surgery I would have to sit in the hall and look down... seeing someone with an IV walkint with a holder with a bag on it sends me spirialing.

My coping mechanisms are Humor oftentimes inappropriate and very off color on occasion. Writing stories... Science fiction... and Prose. Sketching..... I wish I could do wire work right now but I cant focus on it at all.... besides its not something you can carry with you like knitting. even though it takes the same amount of tools.

I am getting better. but still will never be totally comfortable in a hospital environment....

LOL.... YEp.... will have to leave the hospital in a Hospital gown.... Unless they have a place to HOSE me off clothes and all. Oh wait I will be in a gown already... Might mess up their imageing.... So I will Get to do it Again..... :gig

Deb, I work in a hospital and I feel the same way. If you need some dark and/or inappropriate humor, PM me.

you are on. I will pm you.

I'm with you, @superchemicalgirl and @perchie.girl. Worked too many years in a hospital to be comfortable in them, especially after spending a month in one when I had Rheumatic Fever. I'm that way with family doctors also. Had a doc ask me once why my blood pressure was up so high when I came in for my annual. I was a nurse. I told him that was why. I KNEW the evil painful things he could do to me!

What are you allergic to?
That was never figured out!

I happened twice while I was growing up. When I was 3 and 9. Both times it was the middle of the night in the Fall.

My guess is that it was some kind of bug or something.
