The Old Folks Home

And then you pop the tire off the rim twice a year... you know all sorts of filth gets in there.
That is the second reason to have the winter tires on their own rims. All the on and off is hard on the bead and yep can screw up the stupidly expensive sensors. The first reason is if you are able to change your own tires you can do it on your schedule instead of taking the car somewhere and waiting or leaving it there to be picked up later.
YUM! I bet Deb would just LOVE her some mattress roast!

A friend of mine posted on FreakBook about the high price of coffee, especially that of the variety that is digested by civets and commanding uber-high prices. The following exchange -- which I found rather humorous -- took place amongst myself and a follower:

"Louise yuk.... people are so stupid.... they pay tons of money to drink coffee beans that came out of an animal's butt.... what fools humans can be....

Dee Louise, so...how do you like your Whole Foods organic eggs?

Louise I don't shop Whole Paycheck.... and besides eggs don't come out of a chicken's digestive track as excrement ... they come out of her vagina like all eggs and babies....

Dee They come out the same hole and sometimes smeared with poo. Trust me on that as I've got chickens. (Chickens don't have vaginas, btw. In poultry terms it's a cloaca. BIG difference. Maybe look up avian anatomy?)"

[still chuckling over chicken vaginas.... yeah, I'm a poultry geek]
:gig Yep, definitely up on her chicken anatomy. I still can't get over the frozen "Tilapia loins" I buy at Costco. Um fish have loins??? Looks a lot like a filet to me.

deb, thank you for keeping us Cone heads up to date. (Yeah, I know Diva is the original Cone head, but I'll become an honorary cone head so I can get the updates) REST. If the GI, nausea, and other symptoms get to be a bit much, have them call things in for you. There are quite a few meds that will get those symptoms under control.

Thanks Misty. Yep, slept great.Hope you did also and DH is feeling well today.

Just got back from dropping off the extra cockerels for the neighbor. Sorry looking bunch of little rectal sphincters. But by the time I got back the whole coop had settled down.

They asked me if there was a nice one they could put in with their hens because their rooster is a jerk. I told them all 9 of these were jerks so I would have to stress NO! Then their rooster strolled out to fight with the newcomers through their holding pen. He is a big beautiful either Wyandotte or EE boy. I told them how to break him from being a jerk and told the 8 year old chicken wrangler of the family that if he needed any help I would be glad to help de-jerkify their boy for them.

The good news is my broody has a new baby under her. Adorable tiny little chipmunk of a chick, yeah, I know But I just lifted her for a second. 2 more to hatch.

One of my older blind hens isn't doing well. I think she was the object of the roosters attention last night and she is stressed. Not eating, or drinking. Got her to take a few bites of scrambled egg but is sitting off by herself today. She is a sweet hen. I will hate to see her go.

Y'all have a great Tuesday. I'm off to make lunch and mow before rain sets in.

Getaclue. thank you for remembering. I wanted to bring out the Conehead avatar again and I couldn't find it. BYC used to have them all there and you could switch them out as desired.
I don't want people to think I just eat ice cream and sleep all day. Okay, so yah. But I did want to spring it on newer members who might not know what a Conehead was (is).
