Sorry, I couldn't resist. Your week is winding up about as bad as my week was. I sorta kinda feel like the little guy standing under that cloud also but there is a break in the clouds and a few sunbeams are shining through.

In all seriousness, the look on that hen turkey's face strikes fear into my heart. My little broody was a miniature pecking machine during her tenure. Today when I moved her I feared for my skin but she was all sweetness itself. I'm being serious here. Look up kevlar arm protectors. We used to wear them all the time when we raced bicycles. They really protect your arms from crashes. Should work for pshychopathic broody hen turkeys also.

As I posted, all they have in this area is medicated feed. The feed mills here don't do the non-medicated, so I can't get it. I still don't think that's the problem. BTW, they are beautiful, have been shown, and placed well, so it's not a health issue. Could it be something genetic?

These are your snazzy BCM?

I can't imagine it being a feed issue. Back when I tried raising BCM, I also had fertility issues. .. the cock I was trying to use did make SOME eggs fertile. .. just not many.

I would say feed them some nutritional yeast and dandelions for 2 weeks, then gather eggs for a test incubation....

but... dunno...
