I had left over captain country chicken and rice. This is from when it was for dinner

I did not have the beets or the bread today though
 
I might not know what I had for lunch but Mainers have this very strange thing that they do in spring - they eat emerging ferns that they dub fiddleheads.
I've been here over a decade now and I've always been interested in the concept of fiddleheads, but never brave enough to commit.
Today is commitment day. Someone made me a tub of fiddleheads and brought them to work.

I think they look like worms.
