Found a hidden nest up in some hazelnut bushes in the chicken yard about 28 eggs but most had sunk in the bowl some very old.. 11 in the coop.. and had crazy white dog found her way into the chicken yard the very cockerel my lavender ameracauna boy I thought to cull as sterile maybe lead her to him, him calling to his girls to run.... No punctures but feathers from tail to back gone not showing meat though.. I can check him better tonight actually put hand on him what a good boy cooked up large 36 eggs 3 cups of oatmeal will separate in dishes make sure he gets a good quantity in the morning

I wish I could send you mine. Poor baby lost his mama 2wks ago & is all alone in a no roo zone surrounded by mean girls. He will be so beautiful when he feathers out. It breaks my heart on so many levels.

Oh that's sad. I hate loosing birds, but babies are the worst! Loosing mama was sad too because of the baby. He's 10wks old now and crowing pretty good. I'm waiting for the city to show up & start bossing me around.

took them to my Silky group they accepted them but little brats would not stay under them got cold and died went up to take the last two hour later another was gone found it 6 days later ... I have two neighbors that say they enjoy my cockerel they grew up on farms need to take a dozen to a brand new neighbor say hi

I've got one neighbor who used to live out in the country & they enjoy our 'menagerie' as they call it. The rest of my neighbors are very unpredictable. Since I'm in city limits, I cant keep him, but I'll keep him as long as I can. It stresses me out everyday tho waiting for the confrontation of an angry person or a city official.
