Well, this fire won't give up. It has jumped a highway up this canyon we are down from, now closer. Yes, smelling more smoke again. More evacuations. Plus, another sad thing ... just the town over, and just blocks away from 3 different kids of ours that live there, a small plane crashed into a home! That home is right up on a mountain side, a very dry mountain side. Thankfully the firemen got out there quick, got the fire out. Pilot dead, the two folks in the house lived! They explained that it was a huge fireball, engulfed the main part of the house. It happened around 2:30 in the morning, so guessing the people were asleep. 2 story home, and also guessing their bedrooms were upstairs. No details as to why it happened. Oh, and it did clip the neighbors shed across the street as it came down. Will be interesting to know more. They know the plane is a Utah plane, but can't say much more at this time, for a couple of reasons.

@chickadoodles, fingers crossed and prayers sent that it is just fibrous tissue. Good news that it isn't your thyroid though.

@Cynthia12. Yikes! Not bad enough having to deal with a fire but with a plane coming down close to you? Double yikes! We seem to be in a major flight path for air travel. I told DH every time I glance up at a jet flying over I mutter, 'stay up there!'. Please be safe.

@CapricornFarm, yes, this is the Fayoumi hen a friend got as a freeby from M McM hatchery two plus months ago. He belongs to our HAM radio club and knew I wanted Fayoumis so he offered her to me for free. I insisted he take two bags of game bird starter feed in payment. He doesn't handle his birds so it was his 12+ pullets going berserk in his shed, feathers flying, chickens screaming, me scrambling around trying to cut the Fayoumi pullet out of the black copper Maran flock. Finally got her cornered in a separate pen in the shed and the little devil hurled herself onto my head and ran down my back. I finally got her cornered and pinned down but she settled down immediately when I started to talk 'chicken' to her, clucking softly like I do to my birds when I'm trying to calm them down while being handled.

Right now she hates her isolation pen. Wants out NOW AND I MEAN NOW, DANG IT! So I don't think isolation is going to last long. I'm more worried about her catching something off of my birds than I am mine catching something from her.

Here are the 4 musketeers at 2 days of age, all ready thinking they are all that and a chocolate chip cookie!

I am staying away from the fire areas. We will go to Muir Woods on Wednesday but that is south of the fire

Got my test done this morning.
The tech said it's not on my thyroid it's on my esophagus.
They will send report to Dr. Today.

Will be waiting to see your results on this, I have problems with my esophagus.
