The Old Folks Home

Men listening....reminds me of the old joke where a wife goes into the living room and tells her husband, 'Dear I read a study today that said the average woman speaks over 100,000 words a day while a man only speaks approximately 10,000. Why do you think that is?'

The husband looks up from the TV and replies,'What did you just say?'

I'm exhausted right now. Mowed lawn for 2 hours. Last time I tried that I was exhausted afterwards also. Man you think I would learn that Methotrexate and hard work don't mix. Also have developed a very aggravating sensitivity to bright light. Which means I have to wear sunglasses when I am outside over my lenses with transition and wear sunglasses inside where there is bright light.

I am sorry about the light sensitivity! Will that go away?

Thanks sour. Hugs to your grand daughter also.:hugsLupus is no fun at all.

I had to sit through our HAM radio club meeting yesterday with my head down and my hands shading my eyes. Sure they thought I was sleeping. They have the meeting at the local emergency response center where they rain paramedics and dispatch. Suddenly we heard a big engine rev and the building started to shake. Realized the air evac chopper was parked behind the building and taking off.

what do you catch? Do you smoke them?

Which Eagle River? The one in Alaska?

Eagle River, Wisconsin. Beautiful area - full of deep, cold lakes with walleye, pike, panfish, bass. We also like Rhinelander. Mostly we go to get far, far away from any obligations.

This weekend we are heading to Drummond Island, easternmost point in the UP, to do some perch fishing, which is my favorite to eat. We stay at a little resort on the north side of the Island, overlooking Pontagonnasing Bay and across to Canada. The cabins are probably from the 50's, very cool vintage style, and while pretty basic suit us well.

When we want smoked fish we buy smoked Whitefish from the local fish vendor, they do such a great job with it. We used to get smoked Chub, but those are almost completely gone from the Great Lakes now.
