The Old Folks Home

Hello everyone. Today i got the coop divider done, a hole cut for the window, window in place. Pop hole cut for the chickens to access the run and i worked on putting a wooden box around the tree in the run so i can attach the wire to it. Good progress.
Nice Job!

Deb's right about the selective filter, and that whatever you say to them has to be short, and to the point. I've always said it has to be a short sentence, say it 10 times throughout the day, or over a few days. Yes, it becomes their idea once it sinks in. The conversation usually starts with, "I just got this idea....."
Three sons and a husband have taught me that the fewer the words used, the better. "Boys, please pick up your socks and put them in the hamper" are to many words. "Boys, socks, hamper" worked much better. With the first sentence they'd start glazing and drooling at "Boys, please pick up..."

The my idea/his idea has been an ongoing debate forever in our household. I know that sometimes he just has to mull things over to make them work in his mind.

The boys are all out of the house and married now - that was just an example of using too many words. My mom is worse than I am - she called one day and left a long message. DH said, “I have no idea what she just said.” I condensed it to 4 words and he asked, “Why didn’t she just say that in the first place?” It’s entertaining listening to the two of them.
