:frowJD!

That is a good idea, bruce! I'm definitely working smarter these days. No choice, have to.

Ron, didn't say I had never had a calcium level done. Said I didn't have a current one but I thought doc was going to do one next month when I had my D3 levels checked. I think it's been around 5 years since I had one done and it and all the ones done prior have been normal. D3 levels aren't normally a part of my reg. labs. Both DH and I take 5,000 iu of D3 daily so hopefully that is covering us.

Normal does not mean much since Dr.s do not believe it is an issue. Please look up the numbers for yourself. This is one that you need to be proactive on.

My DW had it for 15 years...a benign tumor messing up her calcium levels for that long. We had to be proactive and even when the endocrinologist said to get the tumor removed(duh!) Her Regular Dr. said he would treat it with Vit. D3!

Ron, glad your DW had an endocrinologist that knew what they were doing. Her regular doctor was an idiot. As to it not being an issue, I know that's one of the things they check on my monthly blood tests, and for a good reason.
There is an app that has you enter results from your tests. It uses blood calcium and PTH hormone along with decca bone scan information. It is a free app. There are a lot of horror stories about this condition not being treated.

PTH is not part of thyroid--I do not know about D3 and thyroid issues since thyroid does not control calcium. para thyroid glands are 4 little and separate glands that are para to the thyroid--close to it. They are completely different things

Hubby has decided now is the time to clean the chimney. i am trying to wake up and become human slowly. :hmm It's pouring rain and we are under Tornado warning until 9 pm. I may have to hang out in the workshop.
