Just posted this over on 'Team Rachel's' thread and wanted to post it here also. This is scary. Not so much the general warnings that we are starting to hear about Round Up but the simple fact that it is now in the food we eat.

It is because of the round up ready plants out there. The farmers use a lot more roundup now because the wheat is resistant to it but being genetically altered. The problem is that the weeds pick up the resistance because the gene gets transferred to the weeds! It is a vicious cycle of increased resistance and more week killer applied and then we eat the residue
It makes sense. They pour it on the ground for every crop. It is not going to evaporate. The site can't be reached.

What I find most scary is that they are finding glyphosate in people's urine and in the wheat that we make our bread out of.
Forgot to comment earlier but @CapricornFarm, that chick is adorable. Lucky you to be still able to hatch chicks right now. I have several bantam hens that are keeping eggs warm for me all day. I keep telling them no and ask me again in the spring. They don't listen naturally.

I didn't ask permission to hatch , i just did it. I have resisted hatching quail eggs as i have birds still in the brooders that are laying eggs!
i can't build fast enough....
