No turkey for us this year. We're heading downstate for a Bob Seeger concert on Thanksgiving Eve, yay! But we will stay overnight and head home TG day. No time for big cooking.

Ah heck I would give it up for that or any number of others ... I hope it is girl has nice little beak so cute

It is because of the round up ready plants out there. The farmers use a lot more roundup now because the wheat is resistant to it but being genetically altered. The problem is that the weeds pick up the resistance because the gene gets transferred to the weeds! It is a vicious cycle of increased resistance and more week killer applied and then we eat the residue

It makes sense. They pour it on the ground for every crop. It is not going to evaporate. The site can't be reached.

What I find most scary is that they are finding glyphosate in people's urine and in the wheat that we make our bread out of.

Forgot to comment earlier but @CapricornFarm, that chick is adorable. Lucky you to be still able to hatch chicks right now. I have several bantam hens that are keeping eggs warm for me all day. I keep telling them no and ask me again in the spring. They don't listen naturally.

I didn't ask permission to hatch , i just did it. I have resisted hatching quail eggs as i have birds still in the brooders that are laying eggs!i can't build fast enough....
