The Old Folks Home

WHY are they so tight with the pain meds?????

It's probably the opoid mess! Now you get codine for bone surgery! I will never have my hop replaced!

He is getting the bit of morphine in the box with a button. But it wears off in 3-4 minutes.
So they were giving him Norco last night that worked in between and lasyed longer. But tonight they are going to give him codine and muscle relaxer. I don't understand! Drs ate scared of going to prison for pain meds even after bone surgery!

Ron stay safe. Hope everyone is all right in Paradise.

@chickadoodles, that man of your's is a trooper, even letting you take his picture. The look on his face says, 'Man I'll be glad when this is over, hurry up you guys!'

Hope everything goes well.

I got home from my town run at noon. 5 stops in an hour and a half with 20 minutes round trip driving so one hour and 10 minutes. I just wanted to get home so I could take my medicine, LOL. Had something really cool happen on the way home. There is a section of timber on one side of the road between Amish farms that is probably half a mile total. The minute my van was in that area, a juvenile red tailed hawk dipped down out of the woods and was flying over my right front fender and about three feet over my antenna. It paced me the whole half mile, occasionally glancing down at me. DH speculated that he was surfing the turbulence the van was causing but it was cool having one fly along with me like that and getting a close look at it. Beautiful bird.

Speaking of birds.....jNo free turkey's this year at the local C&R. They are giving you 10$ off with 9000 store points this year. The Assistant Manager wasn't too happy with them doing that. Called it corporate greed. Still a deal. Got a 11.5 pound bird for $3.68. I'll pick up another one and quarter them both for the freezer.
Turkey is at a record low price here this year, i think DH said 29 cents a pound! Crazy cheap, limit 2.

Chicka glad he made it out safe.

Alaskan, I assume nobody was on the sled? I just finished covering the boats for the winter, and was eyeballing the snowmobiles, they're up on the snowmobile trailers in the offseason. But we will probably not get them out until there is a decent amount of snow.
Kid 3 was on the sled, but he bailed before it hit the tree. No damage done to the kid.

I think the sled is fine too.

He's been in agony waiting for his pain meds. A couple nurses shifted him in the bed and relieved the pressure off the back and drain tube. Now he's feeling a bit better.

I sure wish they would take better care of him.

It sure is tough seeing a loved one in pain.
