The Old Folks Home

My head is doing great. And i have avoided whacking it again.
Anyone who knows MrsMistyReal, her hubby is basically dying now. Down to 114 lbs from 200. He is in hospital at the moment. I talked to her today.
:fl

That is very sad!

Ron, it must feel surreal to wear a mask. Can't imagine what your state is going through.

Chicka, sorry that there's not a lot of options. Legally you can't refill a CII (what it sounds like you have) but if you got a CIII or CIV (like tylenol3 or tramadol) it can have refills.

:hugs

He's on Oxy and Robuxon (?) was prescribed and on back order.
I called the Dr. office today and they should call me back tomorrow.

My prayers go out to Mrs. Misty and her Dh! I pray the Holy Sprit will comfort them and carry them though this tough time.

It is weird to see so many wearing masks here! It helps a lot though.

Air Quality went to 186 here today. That is red and bad for all. A couple of places went to purple, over 200. Gridley went to 306 which is hazardous for all

Robaxin (methocarbamol) is the muscle relaxer. It is on national backorder but there are some available. You can use this to help your pharmacy locate some to buy as there is still a limited quantity available on the market.

The other muscle relaxers on the market, if your doctor wants to change, are somewhat in short supply due to the shortage above, but are still fairly easily available.

I started wearing masks when I am in doctor's offices or places like WallyWorld etc. Do I feel conspicuous yep. Do I feel safer from all the contagion, oh heck yeah! I used to wear them regularly when I worked OB Scrub or the new born nursery. I'm mildly claustrophobic so I always feel like I'm suffocating when I wear one but hey, better than getting sick and hacking out a lung.

Ron, I can't imagine how it would be to walk around with EVERYONE wearing a mask. I just read today that these fires are the worst in US history. I feel so bad for the people who have lost everything and today had to close the news when I saw pictures of burned pets being rescued. :hit

The latest is 42 dead and 7000 houses destroyed. Two more dead and more houses in So Cal.

Yeah, like trying to buy the drugs they need for their pain off the street!
I was visiting with a friend who is a pharmacist. She said that in the training they have received about the opioid crisis, they were told about a local patient who’s pain killer prescription had changed due to new laws. After he was unable to get his regular prescription, he was told that heroin works similarly to his legal meds. He ended up in the ER a few days later having ODed on it.

Yes, a paper prescription is required here too. I have Humana, and so far, they have not limited the amount they'll pay for. I use Walgreens, and so far, they will fill the amount on the paper prescription. IF your PCP is closer, and you are on good terms with him/her call and explain what is going on, and maybe they will give you a prescription.
