Good job JD! I hope you plan to keep the hide. 52 pounds is one heck of a big animal. Sorry you lost 13 birds to the culprit. No wonder it weighed so much, feeding on all that good chicken meat.

I'm heading into town this morning. Winter storm moving in tomorrow. So far they are speculating 3-5 inches of snow here but they still haven't buttoned down the precise amount yet. I'm running low on chicken feed tho and don't want to get out as long as the roads are nasty.

I''m sorry about your chickens, JD, but I'm kinda sorry about the bobcat, too. They are amazing animals, but when a predator turns to preying on livestock, you do what you gotta do.

That is a very large bobcat! Capable of taking on a medium sized dog. Glad you finally got him but sorry for your losses. Have to agree with Bunny too though. Hate to see wild animals have to lose their lives but have to protect the livestock too.

I lost my last bantam this morning. She succumbed to wounds from a bobcat attack.....and makes her the 13th chicken I've lost in six months. But the culprit didn't get away this time. View attachment 1637993

Morning nothing good here woke up Richard told me Freckle left us in the night one of our indoor cats.. No not doing a necropsy the 5 of them are all the same age about 5 he was very small size of a kitten so my day is kinda bummed
