When folks free range they have to realize they will lose some birds to predators. It's not like they can call for police assistance.

I agree about free ranging but this was will full neglect or stupidity. A responsible chicken owner does not leave on a 5 day trip and block the gate open to the run and then not arrange for the coops to close at night. The pullets and hen died over a three day period. One of them was stiff as a board while the hen was still alive but missing a wing and most of it's back.

I've found that when the site is slow, my posts usually go through. If it "times out" I copy then stuff in the post entry box and refresh the page ... and refresh the page ... and refresh the page until the stuff in the box is cleared out. If my post isn't THEN showing, I paste and try again. Rinse and repeat several times on a bad day.

Say WHAT??? I PAY MY TAXES, I demand police protection for my flock. I've never called the police for anything, I should get my money's worth.

Or, did you mean the chickens can't call the police? In that case, they don't have the right anyway, they don't pay taxes.

I still say my silky are aliens just ask them little worried did a tunnel into their tractor so they can go at will but think my tiny dark may have been hurt ..BF and I are trying to rethink the tunnel

DOH! I forgot about that. There isn't even a phone in the barn even if they did know how.
