The Old Folks Home

Sorry that DH lost his good level, Clue, but that is so danged chuckleatious.

The "Light in the Valley" design is an Amish designed quilt. It boggles my mind to think about piecing together all those tiny shapes and shades to get the design. I used to think Tumbling blocks was complex but this one beats it out hands down. I think they sell for a couple thousand dollars each.

Oh that is so funny!

We were talking to somebody yesterday who said they were at their small town city hall and somebody asked him when he was going to get his lawn mowed. He replied. When it stops raining. They told him the rain was no excuse. He had to mow his lawn. He was told if he didn't mow his lawn they would have to ticket him, rain or not. He told them if they ticketed him, they would be talking to his lawyer.

Now keep in mind we have had something like 8 inches of rain this past week. Man I'm glad we live rural where people who have cattle/sheep/goats/horses just turn them out in a hot wire paddock and let them eat the grass when it gets too tall and it's too wet to mow.

DH got part of our lawn mowed yesterday before we got another half inch of rain in a pop up downpour. Hopefully it will dry out enough for me to get the finishing mower out later in the day.

The guys that do our yard mow in the rain.... they just switch to gas powered weed whakers.
