The Old Folks Home

Yes, Belated Happy Birthday, Peeps!

Just got home. Managed to rehome about 18 layers and 3 roosters to the next door neighbor and their girls are going to butcher my old hens for me since both of my hands have infections in them at the moment.:celebrate Not because the hands have infections but because I just reached my goal of cutting my flock in half!!!!

I'm giving them three broodies along with hatching eggs for them to sit on. These girls are so broody you couldn't break them with a hammer...figuratively speaking of course. I have tried to break them twice and finally gave up. So I'm keeping my bantams, 4 medium sized hens and 10 chicks along with my 6 Fayoumis. I think I counted 15 layers I'm keeping along with my pet roosters. Should make life a lot easier for me.

Congrats on the chicks Cap. Busy Busy Busy. Do you ever rest, my friend?
Oh yeah, I sleep late at night. Today was exceptionally busy though.

Micro I'm guessing what I mailed you never arrived.

My sister claims anything I send her or her adult daughter never arrives. Except of course the envelopes with checks in them. Funny I would think that's the mail that never arrives. Why would someone take envelopes with nothing inside. They could tell that by shaking them.

So are they sweet or tart? Cherries, either variety, are the #1 with a bullet food for controlling gout naturally. A half a cup a day decreases uric acid blood levels.

Just and FYI. And yes, I eat a lot of cherries.

Probably a stupid question but uric acid is that at all related to urine? Would cherries help prevent UTIs too? Not that I get them. Just curious. Haha
