@perchie.girl, I understand. Ran into that when I was working. People we took care of would die and one day the aids asked us how we dealt with it without crying. We explained to them that we had to be strong for the families and because we were medical professionals. But we paid a price for that strength. Eventually it would catch up with us, something would trigger a downpour of tears and sobbing. Something like hitting a bird with our car or watching a sad movie. Then we would cry our hearts out in a great catharsis, get ourselves together and carry on.
Don't worry. You are normal. Especially after going through your surgery and all the stress involved.
