13 carat, 14 carat....heck, I've known some 24 carat morons in my time. Unfortunately....they keep breeding more morons, LOL.

Perchie, I hope you are feeling better today.

Me, I'm sunburned. Spent the afternoon out working on my old coop. Thankfully,DH came out to help me and with his brute force and my skill at pulling nails we got the wall torn off of the lower west side of my old coop. I'd still be working at it if he hadn't helped me. I kept finding baby mice which the Fayoumi's enjoyed immensely. Plan is to return it back to a one story high rise so hopefully the run can get air circulation and finally dry out.

We shot off about a dozen fireworks with my cannon last night. Lots of noise and fun. Another one of my husband's tallents, he makes fireworks! We both have all our fingers and toes this morning, not to mention eyes.;)

Grandmas getting interviewed right now....

The Brother is awesome... He did an interview then talked with us... Mom is going to see the facility on her way home. She wont be getting a room with a potty. But the potty is only a few steps away.

That sounds super Deb!!! Does grandma understand what is going on?
Not yet we have to do paperwork get a write up from Grandmas Doctor and .... etc.

Of course mom has to give the ok on the place... Her nose could be certified... She can pick out off scents very quickly.

:yaGreat news Perchie. Don't be surprised if you learn this is the best decision that you could have made for your Grammy. A change of scenery, people besides you and your mom to interact with, stimulation from new conversations and activities. More than once I saw concerned family come in and not find their loved one in their room. They'd come up to the desk all but frantic demanding to know where 'mom' or 'dad' was. One of the aids would speak up and say 'oh, they are in the rec room playing bingo. They just won a round!' The family never failed to look astounded and many said 'What! Mom NEVER plays bingo'.

It just works that way. You did good!

I'm down to 4 broodies right now. #5 set eggs for three days and said...never mind. and went back to business as usual. I gave her eggs to Faith, my little Bantam. I'm pretty sure I have my first official bantam/Fayoumi cross cockerel maturing in the grow out pen. Pictures as soon as possible! I'm so excited!:wee
