The Old Folks Home

Yeah, DH could stick an antenna in my ear and use me for DX'ing.....BTW DX'ing is HAM slang for Long Distance transmissions and contacts. I can just hear him saying, Yeah, put the antenna in her left ear and have her stand on her right foot and I can get Russia! Right ear and left foot! Spain, as clear as day!:gig

:lau OMG

Yes, see the doctor/PCP! Good chance it's a pinched nerve or the like, and some physical therapy might clear it right up. But you shouldn't have that chronically.

Thanks, I hope it is something simple like that. :fl

I don’t normally have it but for a while have occasionally had them tingle or be numb or whatever sometimes, usually when I first wake up, or just randomly during the day or whatever sometimes, but it comes and goes and it’s not daily or whatever I don’t think and after a while it goes away usually but now I’ve had it two days in a row. Yesterday and today. And it’s a little worrisome. But idk. Wonder if it’s just the hotel beds or all the arm exercise/movement I’ve done this weekend ha went to a 3 day music festival so lots of clapping/waving/lifting arms/whatever else that I don’t normally do if that would affect it. Hoping it will get better when I’m home. But I’m definitely gonna call a doctor. I think it’s carpal tunnel but idk.

my favorite turkey video....

You are overthinking this kdogg please just go to a doctor and let him do the thinking.

Yeah.... I tend to do that. :hide :lau

Had a couple other minor problems this week too that I made the mistake of Googling and freaked myself out. :lau

Turns out those were fine btw.

Definitely going to call the doctor though. Mostly just trying to think of possible reasons or see if I could try to prevent it or minimize it or whatever.

But going to call either way cause it’s really weird that it’s been going on so long now.

But I think mostly it’s from being on my phone so often. I mean, I’m literally like constantly on that thing and even right now, the angle I am holding it at is probably definitely not good for my wrists or my fingers for that matter. They’re all curled up under it all weird. And I’ve been having problems with those too.

I think it all traces back to the phone. My “screen time” stats are scary. :lau :hide

He’s probably gonna say to just get off the dang phone haha

But maybe there’s something they can do to help it.

Definitely going to call when we get home tomorrow or maybe Tuesday.

Have to call a few other places anyway so I’ll do it at once maybe.

:barnieJust do it!

I’m going to lol but it’s 1am here and we’re on vacation and don’t get back till tomorrow. Probably late tomorrow anyway.

And besides, he’s probably gonna say the same thing I said about getting off the phone. Not that I shouldn’t call. I will. But I’m on it like 40 hours a week some weeks :hide

I’m sure that’s causing most of my problems.

Be very careful when you google any ailment. Google can take you from a hangnail to the plague in 3 clicks. Go to the doctor.

Yeah I’ve noticed that :lau

And yeah, I’m going to. Not saying I’m not. I just like researching stuff. Idk. Good to know sometimes and also be knowledgeable when I go in. Of course, sometimes that can lead me to freak out, like when I had a little stomach pain once and thought I had appendicitis, but in this case, I’ve discovered some very possible causes that might be helpful.

But definitely going to get a doctors opinion.

Our doctor is really good so I will call.

I was mostly just researching in the meantime since I can’t call cause we’ve been on vacation.

@KDDG331 not knowing is torture and can make you expect the worse.

I'm very careful about what sites I read for medical information. Mainly I read the Mayo Clinic's site and WebMD along with RXlist, the latter we used in our medical practice. I've noticed that a lot of the web hits you get are generally somebody trying to sell their magic cure for whatever ailes you.

And yes, smart phone usage where you are keeping your neck and upper back bent in the same position for extended periods of time can cause neck and back problems, not to mention wrist. Yep, doc will prolly say, get off the phone. But remember, you have to want to. He can't make you.

Great movie about the turkey. Nice to start the day with a laugh

@CapricornFarm, have fun building!

The nest box is finished. Well, except paint and putting the hinges on. Feeder is next.
