The Old Folks Home

Coturnix Quail couldn't get up high enough to lay inside this nest, and the California quail are not old enough to lay.
Well its blue right? Can a wild bird get in there...?

Id pop it in the incubator.... just for giggles.

Um, no, not going to handfeed a wild bird. Cockatiels are enough work, used to feed them.

@perchie.girl I do understand how you feel. I have a real problem going to doctors myself. I know I need to go but......when I was 23 and diagnosed with rheumatic fever, I had such a hard time getting my old codger doc to take me seriously when I told him I was sick. Then when I told him I was having severe stomach pain 12 years later. I suspected the stress of losing my doberman set it off and told him so. He kept wanting to give me tranquilizers. Didn't help. Pain got worse...much worse to the point that I wound up in the ER. He was still poking the tranquilizers at me until an alert x-ray doc listened to me while he was getting ready to do my upper GI. That was a Friday. Monday I was in surgery having my gallbladder removed. It had almost burst....and he stopped pushing me to take tranquilizers. I almost became the real life joke of the guy who had "I told everybody I was sick!" carved on his tombstone.

From that point on every time I go to the doctors I just tense up. Can't help it. Docs have laughed at me and said 'you're a nurse! Why are you afraid of us!?' I told him because I know what all they can do to me.

40 years later and yep, I still spaz out when I have a doctor's appointment.

Don't feel bad. You get hit in the foot with a hammer enough times and pretty soon you start hating going to the hardware store.....:hugs

@CapricornFarm, love the cat helping you with your new quilt. Ours do that also. Usually when I'm trying to do a sizing or lay out. Once the dog tried to scoot her butt on a project. Didn't go over well with me.

I got my quilt out and did some adjustments with the hopes of hanging it and getting a pic. Then I put it on the bed for size. CARP:rant CARP:rant CARP:rant! is all I can say. Perfect length, but the width was off. No desire to embroider three more squares and add a row to the length because I wouldn't have enough backing if I did that. So I tore a row off the length and will bast it into the width tonight. That way I can add a solid border to the backing and fold it over to border the top. GRRRRRRRR. Here I thought I was ready to machine sew the top. Oh well gives me something to do.

As for the egg.....:idunno My Fayoumi's laid small eggs when they started but not that small.

Gotta make hamburger buns for dinner. Thinking....slider size.....maybe?
