I have to settle for microwave popcorn and it's :sick.
There is one restaurant that we go to that has fantastic popcorn. They have it on the table so you can nosh while waiting for your entree to show up. Hull-less popcorn. We usually go through that and a refill and still end up finishing our meal or at least having it packed up for later.

It's pouring out again. I don't mind. It keeps the temps down.

Dd, and grands went to spend the night with their great grandmother a couple nights ago. I got quite a bit of housework done, and it stayed done, since there was no one to mess it up. She called last night to say they were going to stay another night. It's amazing all that I've gotten done, and it shows, since I don't have a house full of people messing it all back up as soon as I clean.

Cap, could it be a mislaid Robin's egg?

Robin's have already moved on here for the most part. I hear one or two singing every now and then but for the most part I haven't seen one in a couple of weeks.

I have found them laying infront of our barn in the grass and this year found one in front of my coop. lying in the grass.

Could a bird have accessed your coop felt the need to drop an egg and let'er fly so to speak?

My T-Rex hatched one egg out of two. The second died in shell after pipping internally. I saw that it had done that yesterday morning after the first chick hatched and had gotten up this morning expecting to see a second chick. Nope. So I carefully chipped a hole in the shell over the air cell just to be safe. Just the eggtooth on its beak made it through the membrane so I'm thinking tough membrane from high temps and low humidity maybe?

No, half the size of a Robin's egg. I am thinking the nest is abandoned. There were spider webs there.
