The Old Folks Home

My left hand for carpal tunnel was done Microscopical the only line was put in my lifeline but unable to see it
I have been reading about nano surgery.

I had a cyst removed from my right wrist 16 years ago. It was a ganglion cyst that became inflamed when a patient grabbed my hand and twisted it. The cyst grew after that and it was not only painful but restricted my range of motion making pushing my 100 lb plus medicine cart a real chore...well more than usual.

The surgeon just followed one of the natural creases in my wrist. If you look really really close you can see a faint scar. I love it when they can do that, unlike my gall bladder surgery which looks like somebody opened me up with a dull can opener.

DH keeps wanting me to have a zipper tattooed over the scar. I'm open minded about such things but I don't think so. One tattoo is enough for me. Yes I do have a tat!:plbb

Put two broody hens back with the flock tonight and put the 4 chicks together in the grow out pen. One hen was momentarily calling to the chicks but was roosting tonight when I closed up. The other hen was a little more adamant but didn't kick up too much of a fuss when I put her in the coop. Babies are 90% feathered out with just their little heads showing baby feathers. I'm trying to get things organized for cold weather and having 6 broody pens is a bit much. Now I'm down to broody pens but those babies are only a month old so they have a ways to go before I put them in the grow out pen.

Hard to believe we are starting September already.

Had a Gangleon Cyst in my wrist when I was about twenty... the only one that it bothered was MOM. She insisted I had it taken out..... I couldnt pay for it mom could. Saw a specialist he tried draining it with a needle... came back. So he did like you made an incision that happened to follow the creases in my wrist.

They develop in joints through injury. Years of riding a scate board and falling and Falling off horses did it. I have actually seen something similar in the Hock of one horse... Omg... I found a link to it. in horses.... http://csu-cvmbs.colostate.edu/vth/Pages/carpal-hygroma.aspx

similar treatment too. No pain leave it alone.... Drain and bandage.... or Surgery....

Horses are active and constantly getting in to theings.... so they recommend after surgery bandaging for imobilization while it heals. Very interesting...

Sorry I digress.

He mentioned how the tank would have to be buried, so no one could see it, and he didn't think it would be safe.
A buried tank is safer than an above ground tank. If it were to blow, it wouldn't throw shrapnel all over the place. And, should the "apocalypse" happens, no stray bullets will hit it.

Morning all!

So this morning finds the hurricane gathering strength, unfortunately. I hope everyone stays safe.

It continues to be cloudy and cool here. Very much early Fall feeling. Town is celebrating its annual Soybean Festival. We steer clear of it. All the fried food a human being desires and neither of us likes greasy food that much although I've never met a batter dipped and fried chicken tender strip that I didn't like.

No big Labor Day plans. Being retired means every day is Labor Day! You folks who are still chained to the time clock, have a great day off!

@penny331. You'd love my flock.Hardly anyone's laying! They are dropping feathers like raindrops and looking pathetic though. They have that down pat!

Y'all have a great Sunday and keep an eye on the weather if you are on the east coast.

I have a Tolbunt Polish hen that looks like a NN. It is pitiful! Going to try to get a picture today.

All of mine look like NNs! :lau I looked at the birds over the age of 1 last night and just told them they were pathetically funny looking. No tails, naked necks, wing feathers beat up. They all want to sit on the roost bars and peck at one another if another bird gets too close to them.

@perchie.girl. Mine was existing before the work injury. Just not bothering me. I figure it happened as a result of the inflammation I had in my hands from RF.Docs agreed with me.
