The Old Folks Home

The best redwoods are on the coast closer to Eureka. I have been to one place where you drive your car through a tree!
I was there about a hundred million years ago, the poor tree is still standing?

We’re not prepared like at all
Based on the current forecast, you don't need to. The eye should be well offshore unless it decides to turn north again.

In most places in this part of Florida, a 3 - 5 foot hole, and you hit water. Gas tanks don't do well under water.
Hmmm, kinda forgot about that. Probably float the darn thing right back up! I do like @perchie.girl's suggestion of a mound for the tank.

I remember living in Galveston as a kid...

My older sister and I wanted to dig a hole to China...

And so away we went...

The hole was huge, fast digging when only the top 3 inches is dirt and the rest sand..

But when the top of the hole was above my head, AND water started seeping in...I said I was done.

Then supper time rolled around and my mom looked out the window to call us in...

:lau

Come home, come home it's supper time. Good old song by Jim Reeves.
