Not sad..good.. Well sad that I couldn't keep her. She is in a home with another elderly lady. . about my age. She is definitely a dog that prefers women over men. She's Happy. . She is indoors too. That makes me happy.

Oh, that's nice Cap. That's one of my grandson's 3 favorite superheroes. Batman is first on his list, then it's a tie between Spiderman, and Iron Man. That's bright, and colorful. Superhero blue is an easy paint color to work with too.

Hey all BF and I did hike some till I started tipping over more nueropathy is real pain that way some days it is awful other you never know spent all day at our State Fair in Puyallup

That's Cooper, our Mini Schnauzer. Different coloring ey? He's a live wire at times. He thinks everyone loves him. Want to see something.. really.. really..cute? Sure you do. This is one of our little grandsons living with us..our son and daughter in law moved in to help with things once Scott started declining. Love, love, that they are here. Ashton is 10 months old. Starting to take his first steps.

He's finally getting some hair..can you see it? It's there, I promise.

Well, the logging camp is up and running again this morning. At least they waited til 8 before rumbling in. DH and I stand by a front window and watch the show while sipping coffee. There is something disquieting about watching 16 and 18 year old Amish boys operating big skid steers and logging machinery. Yesterday I was out working in the run cleaning up and listening to them felling trees. I told DH that every time I hear a tree go down I half expect to here frantic screaming that somebody is hurt/trapped/lacerated and they come running across the road to our house for help.

DH agreed and said that was why he mowed a big circle in our pasture.....in case the medivac chopper needs to make an emergency landing. The only thing we can figure out is one of the big logging/processing companies is hiring Amish youth to do the field work. True they grow up around chain saws and the like but you can't put an old head on young shoulders. Plus it's just funny as all get out to see them jump off their horses/carts/etc and jump onto a big logging skid steer and head off to work.

@CapricornFarm. You make me feel guilty! What is this? The third or fourth quilt you have done this year? I'm still working on #1 ad #2.

Quilt #2 suffered a disaster yesterday. I had my quilt stand sitting out of the way and witnessed Diesel walk up to it and lift his leg against it! . He's the only hold out when it comes to house training and goes next week to get neutered. We had scheduled Ben but Dee as we call him has become a real jerk and therefore will take his place. Hopefully less testosterone will adjust his attitude a bit.

As for the quilt, I was able to isolate the 'target' area and wash it out by hand without having to completely unpin and do a new layout. It's drying right now on the back porch and I'll try to get a pic of it before I bring it in.

I was told by one once that if it’s for a job or work and/or necessary for your livelihood then you are allowed to use it. It being technology, machines, etc.

But of course not all follow that and some are much more strict and don’t believe it using anything at all.

All depends I guess.

I will say I don’t think they should be having kids out there operating the machinery. That just seems irresponsible and dangerous.

Nope, not at all, Bruce. They can't own phones, cars or power tools with the exception of battery operated ones, but they can use ours if they are working for us, or they can hire a driver and car to haul them around for long distances. One kid doing the heavy machinery driving is lucky to be 18 if he's a day. Washing machines have to be the old wringer type and have to be powered by a pony motor. No bicycles or anything with rubber wheels, which the road commissioners hate as they pulverize the rock they put on the roads and grind it into the dirt. Although we do see two little girls, no older than 7 or 8 drive by every morning to school in a cart being pulled by a little pony and the two wheels on the cart do have rubber on them....guess the local bishop hasn't caught up with that one yet.

Okay, finally got a couple of pictures taken. First is the new top for the existing quilt, the one that got baptised by sprinkling courtesy of Diesel. The second is the Life on the Farm quilt top that I worked on for over a year. It's just basted in right now. I'm waiting for a rainy cool day to sit down and sew it on the machine.

I'm not happy with the lay out of the material on the Native American print material. It's the material that Joanne's sent to me in sections instead of a whole piece. I had ordered enough material for the quilt top to be pieced in two strips witht the pattern matched but had to cut it into 6 sections and piece it that way. Continuity of pattern went out the window but oh well. What is is and I hope it won't be too noticeable once it is finished.

It's 90ish here today and windy with storms expected tonight so things were blowing around a bit with the eastern wind.

Looks great Micro honestly been lazy about setting a new quilt still have not finished the summer tops I was making myself rather be outside if the sun is up lots to do just cleaning and feeding birds silkie coop gets cleaned more than the main coop dirt floor in the main helps that way ... Wonderful to have your grandson so close Cynthia what a treasure
