The Old Folks Home

Peep Show I am very short and petite (sorta) and many times they ignore me while I am next at the register. Maybe they think the person behind me is my mother.I find if I give the next person a stink eye - she'll say "this lady,"(ME) is ahead of me. Then I give the cashier an even stinkier look.

I used to dye my hair because I started getting gray hair when I was 18. That wasn't going to float. Last year I decided to go back to my natural hair color. It took a few trips to the hair salon to get the dye off but now my hair is naturally silver. I couldn't be happier. I've earned it and I think it looks nicer than the dye colors ever did.
I used to color my hair red when my son was young( he has red hair). I even colored it black for a while. Now it's back to my natural brunette, with some silver hairs here and there. That dye is bad for ya!

Sooooo Frank got his leg caught in a storm drain today...

He’s fine, I’m fine, but he would NOT let me help and kept screaming/crying and biting. Which terrified me not because he was being vicious or anything (I know he wasn’t; just terrified and in a blind fit and probably totally unaware of what he was doing) but that he was going to injure himself since he was still stuck and twisting around. But thankfully he managed to pull his leg out in his own. Otherwise I’m not sure what I would have done.

Anyway, I’m just glad I had my glove on or else it could have been worse and I’m glad he is totally fine. Was holding it up a tad at first but I think he was just traumatized cause he started putting full weight on it almost immediately after and was able to walk home.

Storm drain was still covered in snow. No one saw it.

Poor Libby had no idea what was going on either. Just that her brother was suddenly freaking out.

And for clarification, this dog is the SWEETEST, nicest dog in the world and I’m like his favorite person, we all agree probably even more than his own owners LOL he would NEVER bite me or intentionally hurt me so that’s how I know he must have been REALLY scared and/or totally out of it. He might have even thought that I did it because I was on the other end of the leash lol

He is a very anxious and scared dog in general though even though he’s come a long way so I think that probably didn’t help. Libby probably would have let me help but he just totally shut down and went into a blind fit. But seemed fine moments later and seems to have totally forgotten about it haha

And he didn’t cry or anything when I squeezed his paw/manipulated the leg to check for injuries at home. So I think he will be just fine but did possibly twist it a bit in there so I will continue to watch him and limit activity and make sure but I think he will be fine.

And I am making sure to clean the bites well.

After cleaning it up.

Bruise under the finger nail lol the bites honestly don’t really hurt. It’s moving my fingers LOL thankfully only my thumb and one knuckle on the other hand hurt to move.

Poor baby....poor human. Ouch, @KDOGG331. Take care of the punctures and make sure your tetnus shots are up to date.

I had a dog get a foot caught in a floor heating great. Same thing happened. We wound up putting screen wire OVER the grates. Problem solved.

We just got Varn home from being neutered. Poor little guy is stoned out of his mind and asleep on the sofa right now. Still he managed to climb out of his run and greet DH at the kennel door when he went back to get him instead of being in his run. The office manager was amazed. She said he was out of it when she moved him back to the kennel. Stubborn, tough little dog.

@trumpeting_angel, you and I are the same age. I was born a redhead, a true ginger/carrot top and loved my red hair. I started graying in my late 40s. Mostly gray now with some reddish blonde areas still visible. I dyed my hair until we retired, being in the public eye and all, now I don't. I also wear my hair very short and spiked which has caused some funny responses, the best happening at a grocery store where a young man stocking a frozen food case bumped into me and immediately without looking around said, oh, pardon me, sir....I turned to face him and since I was wearing a tight top and jeans it was clear that, shall we say, I was female. He turned bright red, I cracked up, especially when he stammered....ummm errrr...sorry... ma'am. and hurriedly turned away. Poor kid probably thought I was going to unleash a red headed fit on him.

Cap, glad you got the ear taken care of and the bunny is adorable.

How is your pup doing?

I once tried to get my hair to look like Guy Fieri

my hair is very dark brown normally now its going grey... so I though What the heck I will give it a try. The bleach hurt my skin sooo bad I decided to not go any further... I would have had to do this about two or three times because my hair is stubborn the hiar dresser said.

So I had orange hair till it grew out. I have done Red myself to make my hair turn Auburn... That was nice... I may do that again...

@microchick thank you :hugs I’m paranoid about it after @Beer can incident so I’ve been washing them tons and put peroxide and alcohol on them earlier. I think I will find the neosporin later and put it on it. And yeah, thankfully I’m all up to date and so are they.

Thankfully they don’t have floor grates or else I’d be paranoid all the time lol

Problem was the drain was covered with snow so I didn’t see it.

I’m just glad we’re fine. It was awful watching him cry and I couldn’t help him cause he wouldn’t let me get near him :hit

And awww what a sweetie!!! :love
