@perchie.girl, glad to hear that you are feeling better.
We always used cheese sandwiches or peanut butter sandwiches for low blood sugars. You are right on with the protein as it stabilizes low blood sugars. In extreme cases we would use orange juice laced with sugar followed by the sandwich.
Between Christmas cooking, making out a few cards (do you still send out cards?) working with the 5 heathens and doing everyday stuff, I've been studying for my last HAM upgrade. It's hard. Lots of math. Not just adding and subtracting, but Trig.....ummmmm just can't wrap my old brain around that so DH is coaching me through the tough parts.
We got almost 5 inches of snow yesterday. Very pretty and it finally makes it look like Christmas. It won't last long as temps are expected in the low 40s later this week but I'm going to enjoy it while it's here.
@drumstick diva Your honorary 'nephew' Varn is back to his 'onery self. This morning he tried to drag two heating pads and 3 magazines under the futon which we have christened the "brat cave" I had a rousing tug of war with him over a heating pad which can now no longer be used with any wet pack.....
He's such a good boy......not.
