vertigo caused by dislocation of those crystials can be caused by many things... I had a freind that went through the procedure. They had her sit and turn and bend odd directions she thought they were nuts ... sometimes holding a position for a few minutes then changing to another... when she was done her vertigo was gone. but had to keep her head still for a couple of days to let the crystals settle in and stay in thier proper posionFrom what I understand off medical sites and such, vertigo is caused by crystals in the ear escaping from where they belong. Allegedly there is a minor procedure where they can block the rascally crystals and keep them where they belong. I have never heard of anyone that had the procedure done.
At some point the crystals must be rounded up and vertigo ends till the next time.
Wonder if stuffing q-tips in my ears - as far as they will go - if that would work.Would be tricky to sleep with q-tips.
