Morning All! Getaclue, I am generally drinking a cuppa Joe at the Cafe. Short on time but long on chores! LOL! Very glad the fence is working. We had to alternate the hot and ground wires in our fence this winter because the snow is getting deep. That was a new trick for DH. He thought I was a bit off (or a genius) but I showed him how it now works better. Have a great day you ALL!

Well I know there are at least 2 more adults since I saw three at the same time on the camera a few nights ago. Rats are supposed to be pretty smart, I wonder if the other 2 saw what happened or saw the dead rat and will avoid the box now. BTW,

Yep, you need to do that in very dry areas where the ground isn't damp enough for good conduction or where there is a lot of snow where the feet aren't in contact with the ground.
Thus you ARE a genius because you figured that out!

You can ground in more than one place, as well

Yep, if you have a really long run from the ground rods by the charger. Just plant some farther along and connect a wire to the running ground wire(s).

My day: play with the chickens till 9;00, Church !0;00-11:30, Walmart to get soldier worms, BBQ noon, Invited a friend over to play with the chickens with me. no cross contamination, he has no chickens. 3:45 took him back to town. 4:20 back to play with the chickens again! 5:25 reported in to BYC.
