The Old Folks Home

my son works at the Midway. He sees 7 to 10 thousand people a day from all over the world and the US. The CEO just sent out an announcement that they might close for a couple of weeks but how ever the amount of time they close they will get an average daily pay per day.

He works 39 hours so his average pay will be Done for thirty nine hours. Pretty decent of them. This is the only museum that is NOT funded by the government. They make their own money.

Last year they saw a 1.75 million visitors. They are very forgiving of employees that call in sick. Great place to work.

I agree with you 100% @getaclue. Right now you cannot be too careful. Especially if you are over 60 and/or have preexisting conditions.

I told my husband this morning that it wasn't avoiding people and having enough food it's not knowing exactly how long this is going to last. A week? A month...or more? Nobody knows it is as they say, in God's hands.

I went on line this morning with that thought in mind to find some more insta yeast. I spent 7 dollars and change last week on Prime for it. They had it but they wanted 9 and change this week. Sigh. I bought it. No reorders available on their paper towels or TP. No flour, no sugar.

We have our second case here in MO. A young man in Springfield who had been traveling.

At this point in time we are on lock down. No one allowed on the property. Deliveries left at the gate, boxes sprayed with bleach water, loaded in wagon, brought to the house, opened with gloves and everything wiped down with bleach water before it comes into the house.

DH and I are pushing 70 and we are both immuno suppresed. We cannot be too careful.
