How sweet of them! Most of you here know that my sister came home, to go home. She stopped dialysis. This is my mentally disabled sis..the one DiDi and SCG made the quilt for. Hospice is so surprised that she's..well..still here. Will be 4 weeks off of dialysis on Thursday. A daughter and I decided to put this together for her since we are quarantined. Pretty awesome that our Spanish Fork Police said they would love to accommodate.
With meat shortage, you should be able to make a bit of money off of them too!We are back in a chilly week this week then back to normal spring. Pretty typical for this part of the state. I don't like it, especially since they are calling for it to get down to 33-35 on Friday night which means everything will have to be covered. That is unusual for this time of the year where the last frost day is listed as being April 20th. Weather is crazy, just like the world right now.
Good haul on the birds, @CapricornFarm. I could never get that lucky.
I haven't been able to give birds away in the past without delivering them. I told DH that I would offer my extra cockerels for sale as 'crock pot birds' if I thought I could sell them. He told me I probably could....if I butchered, dressed them out and cooked them for the buyer....sadly he is probably right.
Can't have homemade bread without butter...When I was at costco last week, the store here had I can't believe it's not butter in stock
Dairy seems fine here so far. I bought two gallons from Costco on friday and a big half and half on Saturday from Walmart. Can't have homemade bread without butter...
DW roasted a chicken and taters saw she was using fake butter on the taters.. Why?
No butter. I bought two pounds!! Where?..
Must have left it at the store..
Couldn't find any than did again.
Group leader at work said at least we don't have to worry about butter, take some cream home from work and make our own. Yup we could.
I don't know how dairy is doing on your side of the US Ron, pretty bad here. Northeast has dumped billions probably trillions of gallons of milk, for various reasons. Some at the farm and some from the trucks. Had one driver come into our dairy plant and said it was his first time in 12 days not taking it to a manure tank.

I don't mean that, we can still find dairy here. Have you heard any massive reports of dairy being dumped? Even Chobani Greek yogurt has been told to take more milk. Issues with trucking and can't get packaging material, some of it just labels, everything messed up right now.Dairy seems fine here so far. I bought two gallons from Costco on friday and a big half and half on Saturday from Walmart.

It wasn't luck, I got people in the facebook chicken threads interested and got people to tell me how many they wanted so I could bring them along. Seems to work better than CL.We are back in a chilly week this week then back to normal spring. Pretty typical for this part of the state.
